Recipe - Baked Apple French Toast

1 lg Loaf french bread (16 oz)
8 Eggs
3 cup Milk
Three fourths cup Sugar, divided
1 One fourth tablespoon Vanilla
5 Granny smith apples
2 tablespoon Cinnamon
2 tablespoon Butter
1 teaspoon Netmeg
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray 9x13 pan with vegetable oil spray. Slice
bread into 1 One half inch slices. Place bread tightly together in one layer in
9x13 pan.
Beat eggs lightlyadd milk, One fourth cup sugar, netmeg and vanilla and mix with
whisk. Pour half of the liquid over the bread.
Peel, core and slice apples into rings...place apple rings on top of bread
to cover. Pour remaining egg mixture over apples. Mix remaining One half cup of
sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle evenly over apples. Dot with butter. Bake
for 35 minutes. Cool for 510 minutes before serving. Serve with warm maple
syrup.
