Recipe - Austria - Viennese Coconut Macaroons

1/3 cup Butter
One half cup Sugar
2 Eggs
2 tablespoon Heavy cream
One half teaspoon Vanilla
One half cup Flour
4 tablespoon Cornstarch
One half teaspoon Baking powder
1 cup Coconut
6 Vanilla Wafers; crushed
Cream butter and sugar. Add the wellbeaten eggs, cream and vanilla. Sift
the dry ingredients, and add to the first mixture. Add the coconut and
wafers. Drop by teaspoonfuls, 1 inch apart, on a greased cookie sheet and
bake in a moderate oven until brown on top. 810 minutes.
