Recipe - Aunt Lucille Wanderers Tamale Pie

TAMALE PIE
1 cup Cornmeal
1 cup Milk
1 16 ounce can whole kernal corn
1 pound Lean ground beef
1 16 ounce can of minced tomatoes
2 tablespoon Chili powder
1 teaspoon Salt
One half cup Melted butter or margarine
2 Eggsbeaten
SAUCE
1 cn Tomato soup
One fourth cup Butter or margarinemelted
1 tablespoon Chili powder
Tamale Pie Stir ingredients together in the order given above. Pour into
large casserole dish or 9" x 13" pan. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for
approximately 1 hour or until solid, dry and golden brown.
Sauce Blend ingredients together with a wire wisk.
Serve with sauce over top of individual servings.
OPTIONS Can be cooked in a microwave on high for approximately 20 minutes.
One half of mixed Tamale Pie ingredients may be frozen for baking at a
later date.
