Recipe - Applesauce Prune Cake

One half cup Margarine
1 cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 2/3 cup Allpurpose flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Baking soda
2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
Three fourths teaspoon Allspice
1 cup Dried prunes chopped
One half cup Nuts chopped
1 cup Applesauce
2 tablespoon Powdered sugar for
Topping
1. Beat margarine and sugar until light and creamy. Beat in egg. 2. Sift
dry ingredients together. Add One half teaspoon salt if desired. Add prunes and
nuts to dry mixture, then add this mixture to batter. Blend in applesauce.
3. Bake in a greased 9cup Bundt pan in a 350degree oven for 1 hour or
until it is done. 4. Let cool on rack in pan for 10 minutes before turning
out of pan. Sprinkle with sifted powdered sugar.
