Recipe - Applesauce Cake

1 cup EDEN Applesauce
One half cup EDEN Safflower Oil
1 cup EDENSOY
OR any EDEN food beverage
1 teaspoon Vanilla
(if not using
Vanilla flavor)
Three fourths cup Honey
2 teaspoon Baking powder
2 teaspoon Baking soda
One fourth teaspoon LIMA Sea Salt
2 cup Whole wheat pastry flour
2 One half teaspoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Nutmeg
One half teaspoon Allspice
Three fourths cup Chopped walnuts (optional)
Three fourths cup Raisins (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 F. Oil two inverted torte pans or one 8"x8" cake pan.
Blend all liquid ingredients until creamy. Add baking powder, baking
soda, spices and salt to flour and mix well. Pour wet ingredients into
dry ingredients and stir thoroughly. Add nuts and raisins if using and
mix well. Bake 3040 minutes, until center is done. If using inverted
torte pans, turn cakes over and fill with custard. Decorate with fresh
fruit if desired If using cake pan, cut into squares and pour custard
over individual pieces.

Baking Time: 3040 minutes
Yield: 1012 servings
