Recipe - Apple Macadamia Bake

Categories: Apples, Apple Macadamia Bake
Ingredients:

One fourth cup Allpurpose flour
One fourth cup Sugar
One fourth cup Firmly packed brown sugar
3 tablespoon Coarsely chopped macadamias;
walnuts, or pecans
1/8 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
2 One half tablespoon Butter or margarine; cut
into small pieces
7 cup Peeled & thinly cut or sliced up
cooking apple
2 tablespoon Apricot preserves

Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl. Cut in margarine with a pastry
blender until mixture is crumbly. Place thinly cut or sliced up apple in a lightly
greased 8inch square baking dish; drop apricot preserves by teaspoonfuls
onto apple slices, and sprinkle evenly with flour mixture. Bake at 375° for
35 minutes or until golden.

Makes 6 servings. Kitchen Express: Substitute 2 (12ounce) packages frozen
scalloped apples, thawed, for fresh apples.

Notes: Select tart, greenskinned Granny Smiths for cakes and pies.
