Recipe - Apple Crumble

2 cup Oats; Uncooked
1 One half cup AllPurpose Flour
Three fourths cup Margarine;, Melted
1 cup Brown Sugar; Frimly Packed
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
One half teaspoon Salt; (optional)
One half teaspoon Baking Soda
One fourth teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
1 cup Applesauce
One half cup Chopped Nuts
Heat oven to 375* F. Grease 13x9inch baking pan. Combine all ingredients
EXCEPT applesauce and nuts; mix until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup mixture. Press
remaining mixture onto bottom of prepared pan. Bake 15 minutes; cool.
Spread applesauce over partially baked crust; sprinkle with nuts. Top with
resevered 1 cup oat mixture. Bake 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool in pan on wire rack; cut into 2inch squares.
NOTES : These are really wonderful and easy. I used homemade, unsweetened
applesauce. Bobbie
