Recipe - Apple Apricot Caramel Pie

1 Frozen or fresh pie dough
shell (bake till golden)
6 lg Apples (peeled, cut or sliced up in
thin wedges, cored)
One fourth cup Snipped dried apricots (I
like the "slab apricots"
from Trader Joe's)
1 ds Cinnamon and nutmeg, to
taste
3 tablespoon Fruit only apricot jam
One fourth cup Water or apple juice
One fourth cup T. Marzetti's FF caramel
Three fourths cup Post blueberry morning
cereal (pick out
blueberries, put back in
box) :)
Sautee' apple slices, dried apricots in water, jam and spices. cook till
soft with lid on. Scoop with a slotted spoon into baked pie shell. (this
should be piled high with apple/apricots) Mix caramel with reserved liquid
in pan, heat till thinned out. Sprinkle cereal ontop of apple/apr. drizzle
caramel mix over top and bake in a preheated 375' oven for 710 mins.
(you can use any cereal that contains grain flakes and granola chunks in
it on top)
