Recipe - Ann Sauls Jalapeno Corn Bread

1 Onion
Three fourths pound Sharp Cheddar cheese
4 Eggs
1 cn Creamed corn ; (14 Three fourths oz)
1 ct Sour cream ; (16 oz)
One half cup Oil
1 cn Diced jalapenos; (4 oz)
(or 4 fresh jalapenos;
minced )
1 cup Yellow cornmeal
1 cup Flour
1 tablespoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Salt
Chop onion. Grate cheese to get about 1 One half cups. Beat eggs in large
mixing bowl. Stir in creamed corn, sour cream and oil. Fold in onion,
cheese and jalapenos. Add cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt and
mix well. Pour batter into greased 13 by 9inch baking pan and bake
at 350 degrees until brown on top, 55 to 60 minutes. Yields 18
