Recipe - Amish Acres Bean Soup

Categories: Soup, Amish Acres Bean Soup
Ingredients:

1 pound Dried Great Northern beans
1 Ham bone
One half cup Chopped onion
One half teaspoon Seasoned salt
One half teaspoon Celery salt
1 ds Garlic salt
Salt and pepper to taste

Soak beans in cold water overnight. Drain. Put in soup kettle and add cold
water to cover, about 1012 cups. Add ham bone and cook slowly for 2 hours.
Remove ham bone and trim meat from bone. Add onion, seasoned salt, celery
salt and garlic salt to kettle. Return bone and ham bits to soup kettle.
Simmer for 1 hour. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Makes 3 quarts,
serves 810.
