7 pound Yams; boil tender, cool;
peel
One half cup Butter; divided use
1 pn Salt
One half teaspoon Pepper
1/3 cup Honey
One half teaspoon Nutmeg
1/3 teaspoon Cinnamon
3 Pippin or Granny Smith;
apples peel, core,
Thin
One fourth cup Butter; cut squares
Mash yams with One fourth cup butter;
salt and pepper.
Melt One fourth cup butter with
Nutmeg and honey. Pour into
bottom of
Casserole and layer with
apples. Add
Mashed yams and top with
cinnamon and 1/4
Cup butter squares. Bake at
350~
For 45 minutes until
bubbling.
